About Dār Al-‘Ulūm Montréal
Montréal is home to one of the oldest Muslim communities in North America. However, despite the long-standing presence of Muslims, the city is unable to offer any structured program for seekers of knowledge. Those who desired to seek knowledge had to learn from their local scholars individually. However, given the language barrier, they were either led to move from the island to pursue their studies or let go of their goals.
Our Mission
Our mission is to prepare the future generation with a firm understanding of Islam so they can carry forth and become leaders in their communities. At Dar Al Ulum we focus on Education, Personal Growth, and Community
Education
Throughout an English/French – Arabic curriculum devised to create a strong foundation in the Arabic language, our students are able to create a closer affinity towards the Qu’ran, Hadith and traditional Islamic texts throughout their studies.
Personal Growth
Molding students to adhere to the blessed characteristics from the Sunnah is a fundamental point of focus here at Dār Al-‘Ulūm Montréal. Through practical lessons on Tarbiyyah and Tazkiyyah, students are able to experience an Islamic personal growth like none other.
Community
Creating a community of not only students but leaders who are able to pave their own paths throughout their lives and are able to comfortably handle modern issues related to Deen. In this challenging environment, with such diversity, building strong personalities who will be able to cater and serve our Montreal Musim Community is what we strive to accomplish at Dār Al-‘Ulūm Montréal.
